Overview
Sometimes you might need to give students a financial credit and apply it toward their outstanding balance. TeachHero allows you to issue credits in the form of credit memos to student accounts, apply them toward outstanding balances and track these credits.
How to Create a Credit Memo
- Go to Billing -> Balances
- Click on a student balance
- Click on the Profile tab
- Click Issue Credit
- Enter the credit amount and a reason for the credit (e.g. refund, scholarship, etc.)
- Click Create
Following these steps will issue a credit but does not apply it toward anything specifically.
How to Apply a Credit
- Go to Billing -> Balances
- Click the breakdown tab
- Click on an enrollment record you want to apply a credit to
- Click Edit enrollment
- Scroll down to the Applied credits section
- Click Add Credit
- Select an existing credit or issue a new one using the + button
- Enter the amount of the credit you want to apply
- Click Apply
