Overview

By default, assignments are graded according to a total points system which is used to calculate the overall grade for the class.

How to Set Up a New Grading System

1. Go to Settings -> Grading Systems

2. Click, Add system

3. Enter a name for your system so you can easily identify it

4. Under categories, click Add category

5. Enter the name of your category (e.g. quiz)

6. Enter the percentage that category is weighted (e.g. 25% of overall grade)

7. Continue adding categories until all category weights equal 100%

8. Click Create

How to Use Grading Systems

1. View a class

2. Click, Edit

3. Select a grading system

After selecting a grading system, that system will be used to calculate grades for assignments.

1. View classwork

2. Click on an assignment

3. Click Edit assignment

4. Select a weighted category under Grade calculation

5. Click Save changes
