Overview
Teachers can grade assignments and keep track of grades for individual assignments as well as a student's overall grade in the class. Parents and students both have access to their grades in their portals.
Grading Options
When creating or editing an assignment, teachers can decide how the assignment should be graded using a total points calculation or a weighted grading system and decide the max number of points an assignment is worth.
- Edit or create an assignment
- Choose a grading system
- Enter the max number of points that can be earned
- Click Create or Save changes.
How to Grade an Assignment
- View the assignment from the classwork tab in a class and Click Students tab OR View all assignments on the assignments page.
- Enter the points earned under the Points column
- Select a status under the Status column
Assignment Statuses
Missing
The assignment was never turned in. Any points entered or withheld will affect the grade.
Late
The assignment was turned in after the deadline. Any points entered or withheld will affect the grade.
Excused
The assignment was excused. Any points entered or withheld will NO affect the grade and be excluded from the overall grade.
Done
The assignment was completed and turned in on time. Any points entered or withheld will affect the grade.
Viewing Student Work
If the assignment requires students to upload their work, it can be reviewed by clicking on View student work from the assignments page or Actions -> View student work from the classwork tab in a class.
After clicking view student work, you'll see a list of any files that have been uploaded. Click on a file name to view it or click the download button to download the file to your device.
